HR Audits - Pay or Play

Presented By:

Nancy Yaffe, SPHR
Attorney
Folger Levin & Kahn LLP

HR Audits are a necessary evil. While you may believe that your company is complying with all of California’s nuanced laws and regulations, an audit will often prove differently. Attend this session to learn about the topics most important to audit, such as exempt status, meal breaks, I9 compliance, and work permits for minors. Also learn why it is often important to have an attorney involved in the audit process.

The benefits of attending this presentation include:

1. Understand the key issues to focus on in an HR audit.
2. Learn practical tips on how to conduct an HR audit.
3. Gain valuable insights into how to avoid the most common mistakes employers make.

Nancy Yaffe is a partner at the Los Angeles office of Folger Levin & Kahn LLP, and has successfully defended all types of harassment and discrimination matters, ADA/disability matters, and wage-and-hour litigation for clients in all types of industries. Nancy also provides pre-litigation counseling and advice to clients nationwide. She is a graduate of UCLA (1987, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Departmental Honors) and of USC Law School (1995). Nancy represents clients in employment litigation matters throughout California.
